2.2GHz Power5+ = 3.5GHz Power6

The Power Systems i 570 Versus Its Predecessors
The System i5 570 boxes in the comparison are all using the fastest 2.2 GHz Power5+ cores IBM could deliver in 2006. The 3.5 GHz Power6 processors offer roughly equivalent performance to the older processors, so I made a set of 5250-disabled and 5250-enabled configurations based on these 3.5 GHz Power6 chips. These are the slowest Power6 cores IBM offers in the box, and not coincidentally, they are the least expensive processor boards and core activations, too.
大概是怕給人知道「Power6同時脈效率遠不如Power5」的事實,IBM一直刻意不公佈Power5和Power6「硬碰硬」的測試結果。不過看在3.5GHz已是Power6最低階產品、上頭還有5GHz版本的份上,這表現其實也很不錯了。
